Russian hackers stole 5 Million Gmail IDs and Passwords.
According to Indian Media reports,Russian hackers stole 49 Lakh and 30 thousand Gmail ID and Passwords.These Ids and Passwords are also used for Google other services like Youtube,Drive, Maps etc.Hackers released the details of the hacked account on the internet and 60% passwords are still active.On the other hand, Google says only 2 percent of passwords were stolen and our automatic Active Anti-hijacking system prevented many attempts to steal passwords.
Google says IDs and passwords were not stolen because of the weakness of our system, but most important things that are acquired from different sources.
If one Id is used with same password on different websites then in case if a website is hacked than someone easily log on to other website.
